DISTRICT CONVENTION

The 14th Congressional District will meet on Saturday, April 20th, at Caldwell Presbyterian Church Hope Hall, 1609 E. 5th St. Charlotte, NC. It will be in the afternoon, exact times TBD.

Please note that although Congressional Districts have been redistricted for the 2024 elections in November, the District Conventions will be held under the PREVIOUS lines. This is due to the implementation of the DNC Delegate Selection Plan.

The 14th will elect our delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, August 19-22, 2024. We are allotted 6 delegates (3 women, 3 men). DEC ELECTED OFFICERS

Chair: presides at meetings, serves as DEC spokesperson, leads a DEC Strategic Plan, assists the State Chair and staff, attends meetings of the State Executive Council and the State Executive Committee.

1st Vice Chair: plans DEC meetings and conventions, coordinates organizing efforts, presides at meetings in absence of Chair.

2nd Vice Chair: coordinates training sessions.

3rd Vice Chair: serves as publicity chair.

Secretary: keeps in good order all DEC records.
