DISTRICT CONVENTION

The 14th Congressional District was created by revised congressional district maps approved by the North Carolina Supreme Court on February 23, 2022. Per Section 3.00 of the North Carolina Democratic Party (NCDP) Plan of Organization (as amended January 29, 2022, the “Plan”), there shall be a District Executive Committee (DEC) in each NC congressional district.

The second 14th Congressional District Convention will be held in person Saturday, May 20, 2023

DEC ELECTED OFFICERS

Chair: presides at meetings, serves as DEC spokesperson, leads a DEC Strategic Plan, assists the State Chair and staff, attends meetings of the State Executive Council and the State Executive Committee.

1st Vice Chair: plans DEC meetings and conventions, coordinates organizing efforts, presides at meetings in absence of Chair.

2nd Vice Chair: coordinates training sessions.

3rd Vice Chair: serves as publicity chair.

Secretary: keeps in good order all DEC records.
